Product Description
John Henry Newman was born in London in 1801 and had a very happy childhood. After studying at Oxford he became the Vicar of St Mary's and was later ordained a priest in the Catholic Church.
The Pope asked him to start an Oratory in England, which he did, in Birmingham. He spent many happy years helping people to know and love God. When he was made a Cardinal, he chose as his motto "Heart speaks to heart".
As you read the story of his life in this book, it is hoped that his heart will speak to your heart so that you too can know and love God.
Fr Daniel Seward, the author, is an Oratorian Father in Oxford.
Contains full colour illustrations by Susan Bateman.
