Walsingham in Norfolk is England’s premier place of pilgrimage for Anglicans and Roman Catholics alike. Also known as ‘England’s Nazareth’ its famous Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham dates back to the eleventh century. This book is created out of two popular books by Elizabeth Ruth Obbard, both of which have sold out – The History and Spirituality of Walsingham (printed twice) and A Walsingham Prayer Book. The contents of both have been totally revamped so that this new book follows the user-friendly style of the Every Pilgrim’s Guide series. Author: Elizabeth Ruth Obbard odc is a Carmelite sister, an author and an illustrator. She was based in Norfolk for many years and continues to lead pilgrimages to Walsingham from Aylesford Priory in Kent where she has lived in recent years.
